Privacy policy — Clipora Clipboard
This privacy policy explains the information accessed, stored and transmitted by Clipora Clipboard, published by Clipora. Clipboard data stays on your computer unless you enable optional sync or export a backup. It is used to provide clipboard history, search, organization, automation and paste functionality.

Clipboard access
Clipora records supported content you copy while the app runs and recording is enabled. This may include text, links, images, rich text, HTML and file paths. It does not import another app’s clipboard history.
Local storage and encryption
History, saved formats, images and descriptive metadata are encrypted locally. Windows DPAPI protects account-bound keys, and clip payloads use AES-256-GCM. Timestamps, pin/order information and database structure remain visible.
Deletion is not a secure disk wipe. Keep the database and its key together, or use a password-encrypted backup when transferring your library.
Network and optional features
Clipora implements no advertising, analytics or AI uploads. Sync is off by default. If you explicitly enable sync, encrypted snapshots and device identifiers go to the folder or private server you choose. Those providers have their own storage and access policies.
Macro downloads contact the URL you enter. Opening a link uses your default browser and its privacy rules. File clips store references, not file contents.
Trusted macros
Imported macros start untrusted. A macro you explicitly trust executes full .NET code with your Windows user permissions and can access files or the network. Review its code before trusting it. The worker timeout is not a security sandbox.
Retention, deletion and backups
You can pause recording, exclude applications, set retention, delete clips after confirmation, clear unpinned history, export encrypted backups or disable sync. Pinned clips survive automatic retention. Stored backups and external sync copies require separate deletion.
The app records only while running. Closing the workspace leaves it in the tray; choosing Quit Clipora stops it. This privacy notice is also available offline in Settings → General → Privacy & data controls.
Update checks
Clipora can check for published updates automatically, at startup and at most once per day while running. Disable automatic checks in Settings → General. Store installations query Microsoft Store. Standalone installations query public release metadata on clipora.deltabits.in; the server receives ordinary connection metadata. Clipboard content, history and encryption keys are not included in these requests. Installing a Store update requires your action.
This website
This help page has no analytics scripts, advertising or forms, and does not receive clipboard content. The hosting service may process ordinary connection information needed to serve the page, such as IP address and request metadata.
Contact the publisher
For support or privacy questions, contact Clipora through the Clipora support and privacy issue tracker. Reports are public and require a GitHub account. Do not submit clipboard content, private file paths, encryption keys, passwords or tokens. GitHub handles account and report data under its own privacy policy. Clipora does not provide email support at this time.
Windows app storage
The Microsoft Store version uses Windows-managed package storage that is not automatically backed up to the cloud by Clipora. Updates retain that storage; uninstalling or resetting the Store app may remove it. Export an encrypted backup before uninstalling or resetting. The standalone desktop library is stored separately and is not deleted by installing the Store app. Use an encrypted backup to transfer it to the Store version.
Policy changes
This page will be updated when the app's data practices change. The effective date identifies the current policy.
